In finance, the yield on a security is a measure of the ex-ante return to a holder of the security. It is one component of return on an investment, the other component being the change in the market price of the security.

Also see: Gross yield, Net yield

The yield of an investment is measured by the earnings generated by that investment over a predefined period of time. Knowing the yield (how much you earn from your investment after a year, for example) can help you calculate your ROI (Return on Investment), by dividing the original amount invested by the yield.

MetaWealth™ real estate assets generate a constant yield through rental income, adding up to a 5-7% ROI per year. The rent collected on the entire property is distributed among token holders in accordance with the percentages they own from the initial funding of the property.
